OPENING UP THE CONVERSATION ON LOVE, SEX & INTIMACY

RELATIONSHIP & SEX COUNSELLING IN BERLIN

Storytelling forms an integral part of counselling and healing. It is by sharing our stories that we can make sense of our past and better understand what brings us closer together or separates us; what strengthens our relationships or slowly chips them away. Whether you want to free yourself from feelings of shame, explore the intersection of love and sexuality, better express your desires or deepen the connection with your partner, I am here to support you on your journey.

Common Challenges Explored in couples counselling

Communication Issues – Difficulty expressing feelings, active listening, or misunderstanding each other.

Conflict Resolution – Struggling to resolve disagreements without escalating tension.

Trust and Betrayal – Healing from infidelity, dishonesty, or breaches of trust.

Emotional Distance – Feeling disconnected, unloved, or unsupported by a partner.

Intimacy and Sexual Concerns – Differences in sexual desires, frequency, or other intimacy-related issues.

Life Transitions – Adjusting to major changes like marriage, having children or moving to a new country.

Parenting Differences – Disagreements about parenting styles, responsibilities, or co-parenting dynamics.

Couples counselling creates a supportive space to address these challenges and work towards a stronger, healthier partnership.

meet alexandra suarez

Alexandra Suarez’s work in the field of sexuality has evolved over the years to encompass sex education, reproductive and sexual health, and counselling, offering support to both individuals and couples. Her work as a sex counsellor is integrative and client-centered, grounded in a biopsychosocial approach that is deeply reflected in her training and practice. "When we talk about sex, we are not just talking about ‘sex.’ We are simultaneously and covertly talking about other things: our upbringing and family dynamics, attachment styles, gender, consent, power, dopamine, culture, health, religion, shame, a desire to belong and to feel loved." This realization continues to guide Alexandra’s work and has deepened her understanding of the intricacies and subtle contradictions through which love, sex, and intimacy intertwine. By fostering open conversations on topics such as desire, infidelity, ethical non-monogamy, ED and sexual trauma, she cultivates a warm and supportive environment for exploration, growth, and healing.
