Explore Your Sexuality and the Relationship to Yourself and Others with Openness and Understanding
ABOUT MY WORK AS A SEX COUNSELLOR
My work is dedicated to exploring the intersection of love and sexuality — from the relationship we have with our bodies, to the way we experience intimacy and connect with others. To understand how relationships evolve, why passion dies, why we cheat. To delve into desire, heartbreak, pain, and the beautiful intensity that comes with human connection.
Storytelling forms an integral part of counselling and healing. As a sex and relationship counsellor, I’m here to listen to your story; to help you navigate the sensitive and challenging obstacles that come with love and sex so that you may process your experiences and find new levels of understanding. With this intention, I set out to create my practice — a safe space where individuals and couples can bring to light those truths we are too afraid to talk about. A place where we can learn about our sexuality, foster self-love, love for our bodies and partner(s). Perhaps most importantly, a place where we can cultivate the relationship we have with ourselves, and in the process, use our shared experiences — our stories — as a catalyst for positive change.

SESSIONS
Central to my work is to create a safe space for individuals to share their stories; stories we carry with us throughout our lives that influence our thoughts, decisions and behaviours. By slowly giving these narratives the space they need, we begin to understand how they have shaped us and how we may be re-enacting patterns and scripts from our childhood or past experiences as a coping or protection mechanism.
The Sexuality Piece: As part of our sessions, we will explore your sexuality through a biopsychosocial lens. From reviewing medical factors that may be leading to sexual difficulties, to understanding what is happening in your autonomic nervous system when there’s pressure to perform and anxiety kicks in, to openly discussing your sexual fantasies and unpacking your cultural background and the family dynamics you grew up in, my work is integrative and judgement-free. Whether you want to free yourself from feelings of shame, explore your sexuality or deepen the connection with your partner, I am here to support you on your journey.
The Relational Piece: Relationships have the potential of going through a series of developmental stages. Challenges arise when either one, or both partners aren’t able to progress and reach an impasse. Oftentimes we perceive our partners as the problem, when in fact what we are experiencing is a struggle for psychological growth and wholeness. Using the Developmental Model of Couple’s Counselling as our framework, our sessions will focus on helping you and your partner differentiate so that you may lean into your most authentic selves and reframe problems as an opportunity for growth and intimacy.

I follow the PLISSIT model in the field of Sexology. My approach to counselling is integrative, client-centred and influenced by Attachment Theory and the Developmental Model of Couple’s Counselling.

Whether you are interested in sessions as an individual or as a couple, you decide the rhythm and frequency in which we meet. For this type of work to be the most effective, however, it is recommended that couples have sessions every two weeks. This frequency will give you enough time to reflect and integrate what has been brought up in our sessions whilst ensuring we address deep rooted issues, break negative patterns and improve the communication in your relationship.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
For a counselling session of 60min: €80 for individuals
For a counselling session of 75 min: €130 for couples
For a counselling session of 90 min: €150 for couples
If you are a student or your financial situation is a barrier to book a session, please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can find a solution.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
No-shows and/or cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment will be charged according to the session booked.
How is SEX counselling different from WORKING WITH A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST?
While a clinical psychologist is able to treat a complex range of mental health conditions such as depression, eating disorders, PTSD, OCD etc. and is able to provide a diagnosis, my type of work focuses on one area of expertise. As a certified sex and relationship counsellor, my work is dedicated to helping clients resolve concerns through psychosexual education, recognising behaviours stemming from an insecure attachment style, improving communication skills and suggesting specific exercises focusing on sexual expression. Following the PLISSIT model of Sexology, I am trained to identify situations that require intensive psychotherapy so that I can make appropriate referrals in cases that are complicated by the coexistence of a mental health condition, complex life issues which may include intimate partner violence and/or substance abuse, or by interpersonal or intrapersonal conflict. I adhere to the AASECT code of conduct.
